Distribution of cadmium, as a risk factor of environment, and its effects on the testis structure of 32 adult randombred ICR mice was studied. Cadmium was applied intraperitoneally to group A (0.25 mg CdCl2 on one kilogram of body weight) and group B (0.5 mg CdCl2.kg-1 b.w.). After their killing (48 hours after cadmium administration, cadmium concentration in liver, kidney, spleen, muscle (m. quadriceps femoris) and testes was determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Both experimental groups were compared to a control group (group K), receiving no cadmium. The highest accumulation of cadmium was found in liver in control group 0.052 mg, in group 4.196 mg and in group B 8.360 mg per kilogram of body weight. Similar dose dependent cadmium accumulation was found in kidney - 0.355 - 2.382 - 2.709 mg/kg b.w. These differences were statistically significant (P0.001). Cadmium level also increased in muscle (0.125 - 0.144 - 0.636 mg/kg), spleen (0.026 - 0.026 - 0.414 mg/kg) and in testis (0.333 - 0.450 - 0.738 mg/kg). Histological analysis found any differences in relative volume of germinal epithelium (89.08 - 89.14%) and stroma (10.86 - 10.92%) of seminiferous tubules. The diameter of seminiferous tubules showed unsignificant dose dependent decrease
