The study evaluates results reached in the creation and operation of Farm Accountancy Data Network - FADN during the year 1999. Two sample file were created, the first one for legal persons containing 300 farms and the second one for private farmers containing 161 farmers. The study for both files describes the system of collection and processing of data, gives economical results according to legal forms, profitable or unprofitable farms and production conditions (better and worse conditions according to land price groups). The results are given also according to EU-FADN criterions - economical size and type of orientation of farms. The study briefly describes the calculation of SGM (Standard Gross Margin) for 23 commodities of crop production and 13 commodities of live-stock production. The classification of the subjects according to the EU-FADN methodology was done on the base of calculated SGM
