The investigations on the low volume applications within the ipm program with air assisted spinning disc sprayer (ulvafan) on the protected vegetables

The performance of the air-assisted spinning disc sprayer (powered by a 12 volt DC portable rechargeable) (Ulvafan) and knap-sack sprayer (control sprayer) was tested. Delthamethrin, 2,5 EC was tested in 50 ml/da dosage with knap-sack sprayer and 1/4 th, of this dosage with Ulvafan against aphid on tomato in 1997. The biological activity was very low with both sprayers. Nevertheless, the biological activity was slightly more in Ulvafan treatment (% 56,66; % 48,82) in comparison with knap-sack sprayer (% 51,11; % 5,88). Imidacloprid, 350 g/l SC at 1/4 th rate of registrated dosage 20 ml/ was used in low volume trials with Ulvafan against aphid on egg plant in 1999. The biological activity was sufficient with Ulvafan (%92,6; 93,1; % 73,0). It is concluded that Ulvafan can be used in protected vegetables. However, it is necessary to determine the dosages of the chemicals with Ulvafan application for each pest separately
