Vetiver grass is encouraged to use for soil and water conservation, especially in sloping area. At present, vetiver grass is not popular for its potential and usage by farmers. Then, this report aims to reveal the usefulness of vetiver grass in careers development and environmental conservation. On the aspect of agriculture, vetiver grass has the potential to use as forage crop, for mushroom culture and green manure. On the handicraft aspect, vetiver grass be used in various products and building material such as barn roof and local storehouse. For pharmaceutical purpose, vetiver extract is known as medicine and cosmetic components. To heal the environmental condition, extract of vetiver grass root has high potential to be a natural insecticide which will cut down on the chemical application. Vetiver grass strip prevents erosion successfully and grasps chemical waste such as nitrate and heavy metal waste to reduce the contamination and pollution of natural water sources.
