Potential early maturity corn of KU

Research and development of early maturity corn of open-pollinated variety in 5 years 10 seasons found that all early maturity corn produced yield between 804-897 kg/rai higher than the check Suwan 2(S) C6 (761 kg/rai) from 3-18 percent. All of these early maturity varieties are suitable to grow in multiple cropping system, in low rainfall distribution to solve drought problem and avoid pests damages in some growth period. Since it is an open-pollinated variety, farmers can save the seeds from their harvest for planting in the next generations.
