Experiment was carried out in the circular cement pot at Suphan Buri Field Crops Research Center. The soil in each block was inoculated with spore suspension of Colletotrichum falcatum and Fusarium moniliforme at concentration of 1*10*[6) spore/ml. The experimental design was RCB with 6 replication. The soil was prepared as 4 treatments: 1) flooding for 1 month then the soil was plow and sun dried for 2 months before planting 2) flooding for 1 month and sun dried without plowing for 2 months 3) planting without flooding and sun drying (Control) 4) The soil left undisturbed for 3 months before planting. Number of F. moniliforme in treatment 1 & 2 of flooding and flooding + plowing (1.3*10*[3) + 2.3* 10*[3) propogules/g of soil) was less than in treatment 3 and 4 (6*10*[3) + 7*10*[3) propogules/g of soil). The finding can be indicated as the effect of changing soil pH from acid to neutral (6 to 7). Severity of treatment 1, 2 and 4 were less than control in the early growth stage. However, at harvesting (10 months) severity of the 4 treatment did not show statistically difference which due to the contamination between treatment.
