Nowadays. It has been generally accepted that production industrial sector is the part of the economy and plays role in the economic sector of Thailand. At the same time, technology is also one of the factor that affects the industrial sector by increasing the production efficiency. In the developed countries, technology is one of the important tools to economic development which has an effect on rising the standard of living and provides better economic stability of the country. The objectives of this studying are to study the role and characteristic of technology (transfer technology) of production industrial sector and to study the effect of imported technology and emphasizing on inputs utilization industrial sector. Three are industrial groups, namely; food beverage and tobacco, textile wearing and leather products and machinery and electric machinery. The study uses secondary data, time-series type to analyze the effect of technology on production industrial sector by applying regression equation during the period of 1974-1993. The analytical results of the equation showed the effects of capital and labor inputs on production industrial sector in terms of increase in returns to scale and inputs utilization at full efficiency. However, the capital input wear over utilized (capital technology). Thus, it is recomended that in novation on production technology should put more emphasize on labor-intensive technology and domestic raw material utilization, since Thailand has abundant labor.
