T-dependent anticoronavirus immune response induction mechanism was determined in our previous histomorphometric study of splenic white pulp of the mice immunized with TGE coronavirus in combination with and without the lymphoid chalone. Using direct and indirect versions of Jerne test the coronavirus-induced suppression of specific and non-specific antibodies production was found. The macrophage precursors transforming activity was suppressed by 37-46 percent with the respective decrease of phagocytic functions. Taking into account insufficient efficacy of the existing commercial TGE vaccines these findings might form the basis for immunomodulating treatment. For this purpose balys-V, a microbial biosynthesis product and novosorbelit and emelin were developed and used. Balys-V completely prevented immunosuppressive effect of TGE virus on macrophage precursors transforming activity and restored EAC- and E-RFC cells content in infected piglets blood. Novosorbelit and emelin increased phagocytic activity of macrophages and decreased the suppressive effect of the virus on T-cells. The conducted clinical trials confirmed the expected efficacy of specially oriented immunomodulators use.
