Effects of rice straw compost on plant nutrients, yield and total nutrients upland crops grown in acid sulfate soils were studied in pot experiment. Rangsit very acid and Ongkaraks soils were used in the investigation. Corn was used as indicator crop, it was harvested at taselling stage. Rice straw compost increased pH and the amount of available N, P, K, Ca, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu in acid sulfate soils. Application of chemical fertilizer incombination with rice straw compost (NPK+Rice straw compost) increased higher growth, yield (dry matter yield) and total N, P, K uptake of corn grown in acid sulfate soils than that of chemical fertilizer (NPK) alone.
