Effects of water spraying and eggs' turning angle to efficiency of ducks' hatchability

Number of four hundred and five eggs from cross-bred between Sherry x Pekin ducks were incubated according to Randomized Complete Block Design in 3x3 Factorial Experiment which composed of 9 treatments in 3 Blocks. Fifteen eggs were used in each treatment. The studied factors were water spraying (Factor A) and eggs' turning angle (Factor B). Factor A contained: non-spraying (a1) skip a day spraying (a2) and every day spraying (a3). Water spraying was managed during 15-25 days of incubation time. Factor B contained: turning eggs to angle 45-45 deg (b1), 180 -180 deg (b2) and 180-90 deg (b3). The results showed that each of two factors significantly affected to hatchability and embryonic death but not for hatching weight and lost of eggs' weight. For optimum hatchability, eggs' turning angle should be set at 180-180 deg and incubated eggs should be sprayed every day.
