Experiment was used with twenty-one, 75 percent crossbred, male Holsteins-Friesian calves at the age of 4-7 days. The experiment was a completly randomized design. Calves were randomly devided to 3 groups of 7 replication each. Every group receives 3 litres/head/day of milk erplacer until the end of week 8 of experimental period. The three experimental ration consisted of: 1) concentrate and chopped corn hay fed separately, free-choice; 2) a total mixed ration of 30 percent chopped corn hay and 70 percent concentrate; 3) a total mixed ration of 30 percent chopped corn silage and 70 percent concentrate. Preweaning peroid, average daily gains, feed consumptions and feed conversion of the calves in all groups were not significantly different (P0.05). Post weaning period, average daily gains and feed consumptions of the calves in three groups were not significantly different (P0.05). But significant difference (P0.05) in the feed conversion were found between group 1 and group 3. The average daily gains and feed conversion throughout the experiment were not significantly different among the groups, group 3 tended to have higher than the others. Feed consumptions throughout the experiment for group 1, 2 and 3 were 18.45, 18.24 and 16.96 kilograms dry matter, respectively, but not significantly different (P0.05). The average feed costs throughout the experiment period per kilogram weight gain were 13.66, 13.32 and 12.40 baht for group 1, 2 and 3, respectively, but not significantly different (P0.05).
