Inheritance of some kernel quality characteristics of hybrids at F4 generations in wheat

In this study mass of 1000 grain, hectoliter weight, protein content and sedimentation volume of ten hybrid lines at F4 generation obtained by interspecies hybridization of soft wheat varieties (Triticum aestivum ssp. vulgare) have been analyzed. The experiment was carried out on experimental field of the Agricultural Institute in Skopje region (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). The inheritance of mass 1000 grain on eight hybrid lines showed positive heterosis, and in two lines partial dominant. The inheritance of hectoliter weight showed intermediary, partial dominant and positive heterosis. Protein content showed in eight lines negative heterosis and in two lines partial dominant. The inheritance of the sedimentation value showed partial dominant in five lines, intermediary in one line, and super dominant in four lines where positive heterosis was in two lines and negative in other two lines.
