Use of the LAPS model for atmosphere - plant - soil interaction in the simulation of diurnal courses of micrometeorological elements for researching the sunflower microclimate

The paper gives a detailed overview of results of the micrometeorological research conducted at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia (Yugoslavia), in last four decades. A short description of the LAPS (Land Air Parameterization Scheme) model for interaction atmosphere-plant-soil is also given. The model is used for simulating the diurnal courses of micrometeorological elements in sunflowers. The results obtained are compared with the results of micrometeorological measurements inside a sunflower crop grown at the experimental field of the Oil Crop Department at Rimski Sancevi near Novi Sad, Serbia (Yugoslavia).
