[The susceptibility of domestic plum genotypes to the drought stress]

While performing selection of the vegetative rootstocks for plum on the basis of domestic plums, the genotypic susceptibility of Yugoslav domestic plums Belosljiva, Trnosljiva and Crnosljiva to drought stress, has also been surveyed. The relative content of water (RWC) in the tissues, i.e. the relative tissue turgidity, has been determined to measure the extent to which plant suffers water stress. The surveilance of the RWC changes indicating water stress in the plant, visual estimation of the plant damages and the level of susceptibility to drought stress, have been determined. Such a course of studies has enabled us to find out that Belosljiva is susceptible to drought most, Crnosljiva less adn Trnosljiva least.
