The research was carried out on stationary three crop (maize, sunflower, wheat) experiment with increasing N and ploughing harvest residue. In the research it used next treatments: "-0" - without harvest residue and without N form fertilizers; "+100" - with harvest residue and 50 kg N/ha from fertilizers; "+200" - with harvest residue and 150 kg N/ha from fertilizers; "+300" - with harvest residue and 250 kg N/ha from fertilizers. On all treatments with harvest residue, only with wheat harvest residue was applied 50 kg N/ha from fertilizers, and that quantity of N need also accounting. It means that previous maize crop was fertilized with 0, 100, 200 and 300 kg N/ha. At sunflower crop N residue effect was observed, because it was not fertilizing with any N. In soil depth 0-120 cm N-NO3 was observed pre sowing and at flowering stage. Also, N uptake by plant at flowering was observed. At all 3 years N-NO3 in soil pre sowing regularly increased with raising fertilising N for previous crop, and quantity significantly differ between years. At flowering N-NO3 in soil were similar, about 20 kg/ha N, for all years and fertilising. N uptake by plant at flowering stage corresponded to seed yield. Subtracting difference N-NO3 pre sowing and at flowering from N uptake by plant could be mineralized N from soil. In average for 3 year mineralized N was the highest on treatment +100 (65.2 kg/ha N) and the because of low yield was lowest on treatment -0 (39.9 kg/ha N). Seed and oil yield significantly increased, while oil content decreased with raising of pre sowing N-NO3 in soil. It's optimum for sunflower were about 120 kg N/ha.
