During the period from 1991 to 1994 studies were carried out for tracing the changes in botanical content, productivity and nutritive value of grrass species trefoil, red clover, bur-reed and meadow fescue-grass sawed as pure crop and in mixture with 1:1:1:1 ratio of components for foothill regions of Central North Bulgaria. The heaves weeding was accounted in meadow fescuegrass of 38.07% in 1991 to 53.06% in 1994, and it was the weakest one for red clover - 14.70% and bur-reed - 14.395.At the imposed climatic conditions the highest fresh mass yield was formed by grass mixture - 5861 kg/dka.The highest dry matter yield was obtained from bur-reed - 1485.75 kg/dka.It was found that trefoil contained 23.63% crude protein, and from bur-reed was obtained the highest yield of crude protein - 283.03 kg/dka.The highest content of crude fiber was accounted for fescue-grass - 25.74%.The weeding rate, productivity of forage in the areas of light-gray, pseudo-podzolic and acid forest soils, that were weekly supplied with nutrients, depended on climatic conditions.
