The current situation and the most significant developing strategies of forest mechanization

The forest mechanization in Hungary had a crucial crises from the late eighties up to nowadays. The procedure of forest mechanization slowed down, the domestic technical development stopped working and the technical background of the maintenance was eliminated. To meet the increasing demands of the market an overloaded utilization of machinary was introduced. It resulted in a total deterioration of our machinary. Now the worst is over, machinary is rising again: - the ownership and the structure of the operation of machinary has been transformed, - lauching new installation projects of machinary, - domestic development of machinary, revival of domestic machine construction. Regardless of our difficulties the machinary of forestry seems to be supplied. Its development is not a technical problem but an economic one.
