Data to the fishfauna of the River Mura and its tributaries

The fish fauna of the Hungarian reach of the River Mura and its river-system were investigated between 1997 and 1999 with a low-powered electric gear. Our investigations were completed with the data of the catchment of fishermen, so 7212 specimen were identified. During the 18 sampling days on the Hungarian river-system of the River Mura altogether 48 species (1 lamprey and 47 fish) were found on the 36 sampling sites.Two of the species were found as new species in the river-system of the River Mura: Leucaspius delineatus and Ictalurus melas.
