Acquired contralateral teat spider in a cow and its successful treatment

A crossbred (Sahiwal x Fresian) was brought to the veterinary clinic with a history of agalaction from two of its teats; The cow has diagnosed as suffering from contralateral mastitis; The teat spiral was with drawn in a surgical intervention. Both teats were then infused with a lactating cow intramammary antibiotic ointment containing cefuroxime sodium. A normal milk flow was seen with restoration of the teats length and consistency.
