Influence of potassium stress on realization of faba bean yielding potential

The influence of differentiated mineral nutrition on inflorescences and fruiting of faba beans was studied. Plants were grown in Mitscherlich pots filled with sand. Two levels of potassium and three levels of nitrogen were applied in the experiment. The plants grown on the lower potassium dose showed stronger yielding potential but at lower yielding. The most of seeds were produced in the object with highest N and K doses. It was found that the higher K level decreased number of aborted seeds and consequently the increased the number and dry matter of seeds
