The original tree composition has been the result of long-term forest ecosystem development and forming in dependence on ecological conditions what in general leads to high ecological stability. An introduction of allochthonous tree species is one of the significant direct man influences on forest ecosystems. These changes can as far as result in the endangering of ecological stability. The risk increases with the deviation of natural tree composition from given ecotype conditions. The idea of this study case was to compare the present and the origin tree area composition and to locate the occurrence of the salvage fellings in the Bystra valley in The Low Tatras National Park. The results indicate that the salvage fellings are concentrated at the forest sites with the man modified tree composition especially on nutrient rich ones
