1998
Pawinee Thongsungvorn
Insecticides efficacy test on Bang Bua Thong Strain (BBS) of the diamondback moth (P. xylostella (L.)) was carried out under laboratory condition. Abamectin is a highest effective followed by chlorfluazuron, cartap and tebufenozide which LC50 value were 1.12 ppm, 46.41 ppm, 102.32 ppm and 707.95 ppm, respectively. The efficacy test of insecticides in the field condition by the LC50 value sprayed on the chinese kale, it was found the same manner that abamectin also showed the highest effective followed by chlorfluazuron, cartap and tebuflenozide which mortality of the diamondback moth were 53.33, 46.66, 43.33 and 40 percent, respectively. The residual effect of abamectin (the most effective compound) on the chinese kale by the LC50 value sprayed was also investigated. The mortality of the diamondback moth at 0 day is 50 percent at 3, 6, 7 and 14 day were 36.66, 20, 13.33 and 0 percent, respectively. It can be stated that residual effect or abamectin will be absent within 14 day.
