Efficacy test of acaricides on broad mite, Polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks) was carried out under laboratory condition. This comparative test was carried out between the new acaricides (fenbutatin oxide 25 percent SC (Torque), clofentezine 25 percent SC (Apollo) and pyridaben 10 percent WP (Nexter)) and amitraz 20 percent EC (Mitac) (used as a standard). The results indicated that the fenbutatin oxide and pyridaben showed higher effective than amitraz by LC50 value of 47.8 ppm and 61.5 ppm, respectively. Clofentezine was less effective than amitraz by LC50 value of 108.4 ppm while amitraz had LC50 value of 74.5 ppm. The farther test of these acaricides in the field condition follow the LC50 value from laboratory test sprayed on the chilli seedling, it was found the same manner that fenbutalin oxide also showed the highest effective followed by pyridaben, amitraz and clofentezine which mortality percentage of broad mite were 48.19, 45.78, 33.73 and 30.12 percent, respectively.
