This study was carried out from February - April, 1998 in order to investigate the effects of different salinity level of water solution on yield and quality of rocket. Rockets grown in a pot (700 cm2) were watered daily, with 7 different saline concentration of water which were 0.5 (as control), 4, 7, 10, 13, 16 and 19 mmhoss. The quantity of water consumption of plant-evoporation; photosynthetic capacity of plant alongwith some yield and quality characteristics such as plant number in a pot, leaf number, weight and area, plant weight, root length and weight were investigated. As the salinity concentration of water solution was increased especially above 13 mmhoss, the yield (plant number/pot) reduced significantly. However, average plant weight and leaf number, increased in higher salinity level compared to control. Also, the increase in salinity of water solution reduced the leaf area, increasing leaf weight which ultimately resulted in reduced photosynthesis of plant
