Possibilities of obtaining the second crop in the same vegetation period from some early grape varieties grown in Adana

In this experiment, possibilities of obtaining second crop from Perle de Csaba, Perlette, Cardinal and Adana Karasi were studied. After harvest, grapevines were observed by pruning in the 4th, 17th and 31st of July. In addition, bud burst time and rate of it were investigated in cutting taken from varieties between the 17th of July and the 2nd of January by 15 days intervals. In the first and second pruning applications, very small but normal clusters were obtained. In the third pruning time, only bud burst and full blooming times could be determined because vegetation period was not long enough for maturity of grapes. In each of 12 cutting time used for determination of shooting situation in cuttings, different rates of shooting ranged between 56.1% and 99.4% were determined
