Study of alpha-tomatine content in tomato varieties at Tha Chein area

Alpha-tomatine content found in leaves of tomato varieties L22., Sida M.K., M.Din-Dang and Kasetakorn were 18.23, 16.22, 6.75 and 30.07 mg/g dry weight and in fruits were 3.22, 2.84, 2.71 and 3.51 mg/g dry weight respectively. Productivity in the 4 varieties were 1158.11 1252.63 998.3 and 1173.34 g/plant. Result could not conclude clearly for the relationship between alpha-tomatine content and productivity.
