Before using slags as tracer and indicator of the stream power of the Aisne river at different spots, we have noted down the various factors who favouring the development of the metallurgy in the "Terre de Durbuy" and we have studied the evolution of the steel-making techniques to understand better the production of the slags. In this report, we study more particularly the longitudinal evolution of the slags size in the Aisne river, between Blier and Bomal, where the river has its confluence with the Ourthe river. Because of the great proximity between the throwing out sites, we could only propose a minimal speed of bedload progression; nevertheless slags have given indications on the power variations in the different sectors of the river
