Schedule of prophylaxis and therapy of pleuropneumonia in pigs

The suggested schedule has come as a result of a scientific task and is a system of general and specific measures like: Control during the import of pigs, applying the technology "full-empty", control on hygiene and disinfecting activities, reducing of stress factors, bacteriological and serological investigations, prophylactic treatment of pigs with antibacterial substances, vaccination of weaned piglets, subunit vaccines of mother-swine in stock farms, isolating and treating of sick pigs, restriction of movement, evacuation of pigs from affected farms ect. The results of the application of the schedule show that clinical convalescence, normalization of production parameters and eradication of the disease could be reached within 6 to 12 months.
