Influence of air temperature on the dry biommas and uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from maize

The research was conducted during the period 1983-1987 at field Station Calapiza, region of Plovdiv on fluvisol. The maize hybrid FAO.3 was grown under irrigation at two levels of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization -B3(N23P8.2), B5(N11P4.1) and B1 - variant without fertilization. During the vegetation period the air temperature was measured daily (at 7,14 and 21h) and temperature sums were calculated. Plant samples were taken for measuring the dry biomass and the content of N, P and K in interval of 14 days from germination. On the base of these indexes the uptake of the elements was determinated.
