The implementation of the extension system of the MoA [Ministery of Agriculture] of the Czech Republic: Utilization of the state and private extension activities. Main trends of the extension activity are ensured by means of extension programmes of the MoA. Conceptual and co-ordinating role of special interest agricultural organisations, unions, federations and associations is emphasised. Among the main forms of the extension activities of the MoA of the Czech Republic there are extension services, education of the extension workers and information services for the extension workers. The basis of counselling network is formed by Coordinatian Centre for Extension (KCP). KCP manages, co-ordinates, controls and evaluates the activity of extension centres. There are 6 stable extension centres located on the research institutes managed by the MoA and on agricultural universities, as well as 18 regional extension centres. By the end of 2001 there were 35 counsellors in these workplaces.
