Effect of different chemical fertilizer containing boron on quality of carrot

Carrot is one of the most often eaten vegetable of the Hungarians, which can be got freshly or working up nearly all the year. In our experiments we have investigated the quality of the varieties having short vegetation season and of long vegetation season varieties. We investigated affection of chemical fertilizer containing boron on quality of carrots (dry matter, carotene content, reducing and invert sugar content of carrots). On our examination the good affection of boron on the quality had been found but the annually variable weather and the short experimental time had influenced of remarkably on results.
