2001
Radam, J.R. | Patel, K.B. (Mathatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (India). Inter Faculty Department of Irrigation Water Management)
The yield of tomato decreased form 38.7 to 29.8 t ha-1 as salinity of water increased from 0.21 to 5.0 dS m-1. The reduction in yield was maximum under 5.0 dS m-1 of SW5 treatment (24.00%) followed by SW4 (16.07), SW3 (12.0%), SW2 (10.37%) and SW1 (3.13%) treatment. The quality of tomato like acidity, TSS and lycopene increased with increased in saline water level. However, the pH of fruit juice decreased with increased water salinety.
