This investigation was carried out in a randomized complete block design to find out the effect of root system pruning ratio (1/4, 1/2, and 3/4) and control on the vegetative growth characteristics produced by tomato plants (lycopersicon sculentum Mill. cv. Rio grand), grown under plastic tunnels. The objective of this investigation was to determine benefits of roots pruning at transplanting as well as the exact amount of the root system to be pruned.
