Kim S.J. | Park C.H. Kyungbuk Provincial ATA, Uisong (Korea Republic)
The study was carried out to find growth and yield as affected by competition period of diverse weeds during growing of peony. Weed occurrence(g/m sq) of first and second years grown peony until sprouting to 120day was 146g/m sq, respectively. And third years grown peony until sprouting to 90days was 141g/m sq, but weed occurrence below 90days of control period was dramatically increased. Rate of missing plant was lower as control period the longer, over 33.6~48.3% of vacant plant showed in below 60days of control period, but over 90days of control period was below 16.8~21.7%. Growth of above-part showed good growth over 90days of control period, but below 60days of control period was very poor. Yield of completely controlled period, 150days was 1,607kg/10a, control periods of 120 and 90days were reduction 3% and 7%, respectively, 60 to 97% was appeared in below 60days of weeding.
