[Dependence of the heat capacity of sawdust briquettes and granules of pine and other wood species on the moisture content]

Basing on the analysis of wood elements content in pine and other wood species, thermodynamic properties of sawdust briquettes and granules have been determined. Combustion heat capacity depending on the changes in wood relative moisture content has been calculated. Taking into consideration the data available in the literature, experimental combustion heat values has been compared using the calculation formulas. Combustion heat values, calculated by means of the Mendeleyev's formula, is within the limits of experimental error compared to the measurements obtained using the calorimetric bomb.
