Teaching bio-models to graduate students: with model examples

Based on two decades of experience at KVL, Copenhagen, we present some views on how to teach mathematical modelling in biology, agriculture, environmental science and related disciplines to graduate students at an agricultural university. The necessity of including small individual modelling projects in the course is stressed and illustrated by presenting three examples of models.
