Rapeseed, cultivated as oleaginous plant, is used in the sequence of genetic improvement to which was submitted, for food and industrials purposes. In the plants, as a result of water 'stress', there happen considerable changes at the level of leaf area, plant height and number of flowers resulting thus in decrease of the number of pods and number of seeds per plant, and also on the yield. The results led us to identify that rapeseed develops strategies for escaping to water 'stress' in the last stages of development such as reduction in the duration of the phases of development and in the indeterminate growth habit of the plants, and reduction of the water potential maintaining the RWC (relative water content), indicating the occurence of osmotic adjustment
