Modelling of soil erosion and deposition process using USPED model

The universal soil loss equation as well as its modifications calculate the mean annual soil loss in fields but results indicate only the net erosion, i.e. removal of soil. In addition to the removal and transport of soil, the erosion process includes a deposition of soil due to decreasing the runoff transport capacity. USPED (Unit Stream Power-based Erosion Deposition) is a simple model applicable in the raster environment of GIS. The model can predict a spatial distribution of losses and an accumulation of soil by surface runoff. The above-mentioned model was used for the territory of Dolna Malanta with 700 ha of intensively used agricultural area
