Irrigation as a factor reducing potential influences of climatic changes

The development in the field of irrigation management affects the resolving of questions related to water management. They depend on the environmental status and human activities. The progress in obtaining knowledge of processes which influence the hydrological cycle brings slowly to the foreground the environmental changes induced by the changing climate. In accordance with the present knowledge and modern approaches towards the development of sustainable society, attention should be paid to water management and the potential climate change impacts. For this we can use the model WaSiM-ETH, which fully meets all the mentioned purposes
