Microclimatic parameters were evaluated in 3 houses for fattening pigs with different construction and technological design in winter and summer periods. The pigs were housed in group pens with solid lying area and slotted defecation area. The most favourable values of the parameters measured were observed in the brick house with liquid feed (C) in the winter period. Lower temperatures and higher content of carbon dioxide content (CO2) were determined in the wooden house with wet feed (B). Temperature and relative humidity values were in the optimum range in the house with metal construction and dry feed (A) but the CO2 content was high and the ventilation was insufficient. The average temperature exceeded the optimum in all stables in the summer period. The average relative humidity of air was below the lower limit of the optimum range in the house A and the maximum value was exceeded only in the house C. The mean CO2 content was suitable in all the houses. The ammonia content exceeded the limit of 0.0004% only in the house B
