The effect of crop rotation on physical and chemical properties of soil was observed under the conditions of Eutric Fluvisol (EF) and Fluvi-Eutric Gleysol (FEG). The field crops were grown in crop rotation as follows: maize - sunflower - winter wheat - peas - winter wheat. Selected physical and chemical parameters of soil in crop rotation were determined at the beginning (start of crop rotation) and the end of the experiment (end of rotation) and the respective changes were compared. Statistically significant negative correlation was found between the content of humus and soil bulk density (r=-0.736) for EF and FEG in the crop rotation. Similar significant negative relationship was observed between bulk density and the humic acid content (r=-0.529) and between bulk density and the fulvic acid content (r=-0.899) for both experimental types of soil
