Study of socio-economic impact influenced by the change of environment in industrial zone, Prathumtani province

Study found that almost half (43.3 percent) of households' head have moved from other provinces during the past ten years. About one-third (31.5 percent) of them came from periphery provinces of Pathum Thani. The households in the study area are mainly small family consisting of not more than 3 persons (47.0 percent). Most of households' head have recognized and expected a better education for their kids. As for as economic conditions, most of the villager occupations are related to industrial development. Local physical growth has directly related with industrialilzation. More than 50 percent of households have obtained more income than in the past. For social aspect, people are mostly satisfied with their physical environment due to growth of community, On the other hand, environmental problems, slum and other social problems are increasing as a result. The change has resulted in economic improvement and physical environment as well as increasing social problems. Therefore, the government should formulate policies and measures for solving various problems.
