1992
Wongchan Wongkaew | Sornprach Thaniswanyangur (Kasetsart Univ., Bangkok (Thailand). Faculty of Science. Dept. of Botany)
Several expeditions were undertaken during January 1992-September 1992 to study biodiversity of plants important in Thai culture. Due to the large number of such plants, this report emphasized fragrant plants to which many Thais still feel spiritually and culturally attached. Ninety-five species of fragrant plants were recorded according to their botanical characteristics, time of fragrance release, season of flowering, their ecology and ethnobotany. Scientific names, common names and synonyms in Thai, including their photographs were included where possible.
