Haematococcus sp. is a microalga which can produce carotenoids and especially astaxanthin. The highest yield of growth was found in stationary phase with 21.33x10*[4) cells per ml and O.D. at 0.202 when Haematococcus was cultivated in BB media with the light intensity of 1200 lux.
