[Obtaining and characteristics of a new highly productive strain of Arnebia euchroma (Royle) Jonst cultivated cells]

The research work deals with obtaining a new AE-3 strain of cultivated cells of Arnebia euchroma. While grow as a suspension culture it accumulates up to 8 % of shikonin in the dry tissue, which output achieves up to 16-18 g/l for 14 days of growth or 1.12 g of shikonin from 1 l per passage. Growing and biosynthetic characteristics of the new strain allow to recommend it as an object of obtaining the shikonin involving biotechnological methods
