Phenotypic and genetic variability of periods weaning - oestrous and weaning - conception were investigated, as well as their effect on the duration of the reproduction cycle. Investigated periods varied (P0.01) under the influence of sire, year, season and farrowing order. Heritability coefficients for periods weaning - oestrous and weaning - conception were low, but somewhat higher in case of transformed traits (h(2)
