During 1997, a research was made on the fauna of bark beetles in the forest of Pinus peuce of the northeastern branches of Sar Planina Mt. (Sar Planina Mt. - Jazinacko lake region), Serbia (Yugoslavia). The existence of 7 species of the insects was determined. All of these are new ones regarding Sar Planina Mt., except the one that was determined on the Macedonian (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) side of Mt. Sar Planina. Ecological aspects of the species determined were analyzed. In addition, the issue of ecological niche, trophic relation and abundance was discussed especially.
