Rediscovery of Amara strenua (Zimmerman) in the Uitkerkse polder area (Flanders, Belgium) (Coleoptera Carabidae)

Since 1950, Amara strenua was no longer found in Flanders and was thought to be extinct (Red Data Book category 0, Desender et al., 1995). During a recent study we found a small population of this species in the Uitkerkse polder in the western part of Flanders.
