A new Bulgarian additive for drinking water or for combined forage for broiler chickens based on dry extracts from Cichoris intibus, Cotinus coggygria and Tanacetum vulgare was tested. Vemo Herb was rich in tannines, flavonoids and cummarine, which have antiseptic, adstrigenic and haemoprotective effect. Two research experiments with chicken broilers were carried out. Adding Vemo Herb in an amount of 150 g/t water from the 6 to 9 day or from the 16 to 19 day increased chicken growth rate, improved food utilization and ensured better economical results compared to the group that received the antibiotic Vetrifox.
