The homoeology between the chromosomes of the first and the fourth groups in ten wheat lines derived from population of F4BC1 obtained after crossing between T.aestivum cv.Aurora and the wild species Aegilops umbellulata was investigated by analyzing the electrophoretic pattems of gliadins, glutenins and albumins.Five of the wheat expressed qualitative differences in two gliadin monomers belonging to the w- and y-gliadins and one LMW glutenin subunit as well as quantitative differences in the albumin pattems compared to cultivar Aurora. The analysis of the three protein groups revealed preferential variability of a protein monomers and subunits controlling by the chromosomes 1BS,1AS+1DS,1AS,4DL and 4BL that was due to introgressions of genes from the U genome Ae.umbellulata.The modification in the expression of the proteins which are markers of the first and the fourth group of chromosomes provided an estimate of interspecific homoeologous relationships between the chromosomes 1B,1A,1D,4D and 4B of the wheat and Ae.umbellulata.
